About Stephanie Jo

Born in Portland, Oregon, Stephanie spent her formative years falling in love with book nooks, rain and coffee shops. She
performed in a wide variety of choirs and musicals alongside her younger brother while in school, and went on to get her bachelors in theater at Seattle Pacific University.

Stephanie moved to Loveland, Colorado in 2015; starting a graduate program in counseling and marrying her husband, a Colorado native, in 2017.

They have two precious kiddos and a sweet family dog named Vin. St. Spyridon is their home church and they cherish having friends and family close by.

When the family has down time they love playing video games together, reading Brandon Sanderson books, playing instruments and making exquisite shots of espresso.

My Education & Experience

In 2013 Stephanie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Theater at Seattle Pacific University, and in 2017 finished her Master’s degree in Counseling through Colorado Christian University. Stephanie completed her Practicum and internship with Light of the Rockies Christian Counseling Center, and went on to work with them until January of 2022, when Stephanie launched her private practice.

Stephanie is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and practices in the state of Colorado. She was trained in EMDR through the Maiberger Institute in Boulder, Colorado in 2021 and greatly enjoys working with clients within this clinical frame.

With her background in the arts, Stephanie has cultivated a great empathic understanding for others and strives to be fully present in the ‘here-and-now’ with each individual.  She enjoys making space for the individual who looks to cultivate a healthier relationship with the self.

“In a desert land he found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shielded him and cared for him; he guarded him as the apple of his eye, like an eagle that stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, that spreads its wings to catch them and carries them aloft. The Lord alone led him; no foreign god was with him” (Deuteronomy 32:10-12, NIV).
